Chirag Khadka, also known as 5:55, is one of the new breed of exciting hip-hop artists making waves as his music gains attention and praise in the Nepali music industry around the globe. With more than 800K subscribers on YouTube and over 80K monthly listeners on Spotify—growing day by day—he is steadily moving into the mainstream, with over 90 million views on YouTube. Chirag got hooked on underground rap and psychedelic melodies at a very young age.
In 2013, he released his debut track “Ati Bho” and took his first steps toward a career in music. During his early years, he experimented with different tracks using his own lyrics until he found his true passion in hip-hop.
After struggling for five years, his song “Budi,” released in early February 2019, became a breakout success and a game changer in the Nepali music industry. The track broke records, reaching more than 50 million streams across platforms. Since then, he has released several songs like Samadhi, Life Jacket, Ago ko Jhilko, Hassa, Psychedelic Rap, Speed, and Enlightenment. After this huge success, he has made it clear that there are no boundaries stopping him from delivering melodic rap songs to his fans.
In 2022, he launched his debut album “COSMIC SOUL,” which gained massive attention from fans and support from fellow musicians. The album features songs like This is 555, Sahi Sahi Sahi, and Chyau, all of which achieved significant success in the Nepali hip-hop industry.
